The Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) is delighted to extend a formal invitation to you, to attend the 2025 ABSIP Financial Services Symposium. This pivotal event will be held over two days, on Wednesday, 26 November, and Thursday, 27 November 2025.
This year is particularly significant as we celebrate 30 years of ABSIP’s unwavering commitment to transforming the South African financial services sector. For three decades, our collective mission has been to ensure the meaningful participation of black professionals and black-owned businesses within the country’s financial institutions.
This milestone compels us to pause and reflect on a critical question: “30 Years of Transformation – So What?”
We have collectively championed transformation across our institutions. But what has been the tangible impact of our efforts on the broader South African economy? The 2025 Symposium is conceived as a definitive moment to answer this question—to assess our progress, acknowledge our challenges, and strategically define the path forward.
The Symposium will convene key stakeholders from across our ecosystem, including regulators, National Treasury, banks, asset managers, insurers, and wealth managers, for robust, solution-oriented dialogue.
