Financial Planning for the Global Citizen

A virtual conference for financial planners who want to give clear, useful advice to clients with lives and money across borders.

The world your clients live in has changed. They are not staying in one place anymore. Their money, their families, and their futures are stretching across countries, which is reshaping the work you do every day.

This brings a real challenge for financial planners. You cannot lean on one set of rules or one familiar system anymore. You need a wider view, the right specialists in your corner, and a way to turn all of that complexity into advice your client can actually use.

That is what this year’s PROpulsion Financial Planning Conference is all about. We are running it on 9 June 2026, fully virtual, and we have built it for the advisers and teams who are sitting with these client situations right now.

This year’s theme is Financial Planning for Global Citizens, and it speaks to something many of you are already seeing. South African clients are investing offshore, living between countries, and making big financial decisions that involve more than one tax authority, more than one legal system, and often more than one currency.

A lot of industry events talk about offshore investing at a high level. We wanted to do something different. We wanted to focus on the actual situations you are dealing with in client meetings.

What we will cover on the day

  • How the needs of globally mobile clients are changing, and what that means for your advice process
  • What really happens with offshore estates, from the moment of death through to distribution
  • The cross-border tax, estate, and structuring issues where things go wrong, and how to spot them early
  • How to take complicated international planning and turn it into something your client can understand and act on
  • How to work with clients and families who are making decisions across multiple countries at the same time

The focus is practical. We are not interested in theory for the sake of it. The sessions are built around real planning scenarios, so you walk away knowing what to do next, who to bring in, and how to move forward with confidence.

More South African clients are building wealth across borders than ever before. That opens up opportunities, but it also introduces decisions that are tricky to handle in practice. Without a clear way to approach these situations, things can quickly feel overwhelming, both for you and for your client.

The conference is designed to bring some calm to that complexity. We want you to leave feeling more confident about the way you handle global advice, with a clearer head and a few new tools to use on Monday morning.

Who should join us

  • Financial planners working with clients who have any kind of international exposure
  • Practice owners and directors who are making the strategic calls about where the business is going
  • Advisory and support team members who are part of the planning and implementation work
  • Anyone who wants to get sharper at cross-border financial planning

Giving good advice today takes more than knowing the technical stuff. It means seeing the whole picture, asking the right questions, and pulling together pieces that do not always fit a neat pattern. And then doing all of that in a way that still makes sense to the person sitting across from you. That is what matters most right now.

This conference is our way of helping you get there.
