Congratulations, Andrew. Please share your feelings on winning.
I am truly delighted that our hard work and commitment to nurturing our clients’ wealth has been recognised, not only by Krutham but also by our clients who completed the award survey. This victory is without doubt a team effort from my fellow directors to our loyal support staff, some of whom have been with us for most of this 34-year-long journey. Our team is strong and our clients are loyal, which makes me feel incredibly blessed.
What does winning the award mean to Private Client Holdings?
The award validates that our development strategy is on track. It is important to note that a strategy on paper is useless without a skilled and committed team that engages with our values of client centricity, professionalism, trust and our culture of nurturing relationships and the wealth of our clients.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients and each of the more than 100 professionals in our firm who played their part for us to be recognised with this prestigious award.
In your opinion, what makes Private Client Holdings stand out consistently as an award winner?
Our relationship with our clients is fundamental. We are not a large, unyielding corporate but pride ourselves on being a boutique service that focuses on always nurturing our clients’ wealth. Our mission remains, “We take pleasure and pride in nurturing wealth for our private clients and their families” and we do this by offering a complex collection of services that includes six specialist divisions. It is a very personal relationship.
While each division concentrates on a different aspect of wealth management, they work together to deliver a cohesive and in-depth multi-Family Office solution, as shown on our website, www.privateclient.co.za.
The annual survey is designed as a guide for potential clients to establish which institution will best serve their needs. Why choose Private Client Holdings?
The survey findings showed that not only did we take top honours as the Top Wealth Manager of the Year: Boutiques, but Private Client Holdings also ranks second in the wealthy family, entrepreneur and retiree archetypes. This reflects our actual client base and shows our clear proficiency in providing outstanding wealth management services for people in these archetypes. Most importantly, we are proudly independent and have no institutional parent so ensure we find the best solution for our clients’ needs.
Private Client Holdings won the Top Wealth Manager: Boutiques award in 2021. How has the company progressed since then?
Since 2021, we have strategically placed compliance at the heart of everything we do. We have increased our fintech capabilities and included a corporate stewardship offering that provides a central collaborative point for corporate or PBO organisations for their outsourced treasury, corporate advisory, employee/healthcare benefits and integrated payroll needs.
Another addition to the firm’s value proposition was the merger of a reputable accounting and tax practice into our financial services company, providing a higher level of cross-border tax and estate planning capability to the rest of the Private Client Holdings group.
What is your approach to wealth management?
Private Client Holdings provides a Family Office approach to wealth management. We take on the tasks associated with a traditional Family Office and essentially act as the chief financial officer for wealthy families. Our services include asset management, financial services (tax and accounting), fiduciary services (trusts and estates) as well as cash and risk management, centrally directed by our wealth management team.
